Non-magnetic chalkboards. The HPL non-magnetic green chalkboards are our economy line of quality school chalkboards. These HPL chalkboards come with a 25 year warranty and are less expensive than the
magnetic porcelain steel chalkboards.
Chalk is a very abrasive material and when you use your chalkboards as much as a school chalkboard you need a surface that can hold up to that kind of abuse. The HPL framed chalkboards are made with a high pressure laminate, HPL writing surface which is closely related to a Formica type writing surface and it can hold up to daily use like you would find in school chalkboards.
The green HPL surfaces are laminated to ½" fiberboard and enhanced with a foil barrier for superior performance and durability. We find these fully framed chalkboards to perform exceptionally well and to be an excellent value for the price. Available in six sizes and only with a green writing surface but green is the most popular color in educational facilities.
HPL non-magnetic chalkboards that are 33½" x 45½" or smaller in size can ship by UPS. Framed chalkboards 4' x 4' or larger must ship by freight truck, please see info at bottom of the page for details. The normal lead-time for our HPL chalkboards to ship from the factory is about 10-12 working days and summer lead-times may be a little longer.

Each unit comes with a full length chalk tray with rounded ends and the installation hardware needed to install most boards.
The satin anodized aluminum trim has a ½" face width and 1 1/4" deep marker tray on the 33½" x 45½" chalkboards. The HPL chalkboards in a size of 4' x 4' and up will come with a 1" wide face trim and full-length 2 3/4" deep chalk trays.
The red oak trim has a 1 1/4" face width and 1 1/4" deep marker tray on the 33½" x 45½" chalkboards. Oak trimmed chalkboards 4' x 4' and up will come with a 2" wide face trim and full-length 2 1/4" deep chalk trays.
For your own protection against concealed damages, all cartons shipped by Truck should be opened and inspected upon arrival. Damages must be noted on the Bill of Lading.
