Our extra-large, OptiMA large magnetic dry erase boards are a full 5' tall.
Compared to the standard 4' tall boards, you get an extra 25% more dry erase writing surface than a traditional
board.
We think that these are the best dry erase boards to use in your conference rooms, college class rooms or training rooms because of their extra-large writing surface. If you mount these units 30" off the floor which is the standard height for tables. The top of the board will be 90" or 7.5' tall. The average 6' tall person can reach about 7.5' so you will be able to use 100% of the writing space available to you with ease. These extra-large dry erase boards make a lot more sense and are much more economical and easier to install than any full-height dry erase wall.
We offer a mid-gloss dry erase writing surface on these units. The writing surface has excellent dry erase properties and it is suitable for projecting onto at the same time. Many customer's actually like this material better than the "Low" gloss boards created by our competitors because our mid-gloss dry erase material erases much better and requires much less maintenance than a traditional low-gloss board. Projecting onto a white board depends on so many variables like ambient light, the projection equipment, the angle of the projector, overhead lighting and so much more but we find that these mid-gloss boards perform admirably.
Frame Styles: We offer a really nice satin anodized aluminum or a furniture quality, solid red oak wood frame. We also offer
the oak framed boards finished in rich mahogany stain and really beautiful solid maple framed dry erase boards with a clear finish to allow the beauty of the maple wood to show through.
How are these large dry erase boards shipped? *All of these units ship by truck. Some of the larger boards are too large to ship as a single unit so we split them into sections for easier transport, handling and installation. These boards are shipped in sections like the OPTIMA-5A-125-SP units or the OPTIMA-185-3 which is a 3 section board. The panels or sections are connected with a white painted H-Bar in between the panels joining them together to give the illusion of a continuous writing surface. We do offer boards as long as 16' as a single unit but these units are extremely heavy and will require special care when handling and installing. The special 2 or 3 section units are much easier and lighter to handle.
