Our Story

OptiMA was founded in 1987 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, with a single mission: build better whiteboards in the United States. Nearly four decades later, we're still in the same community, still family-owned, and still making every board the same way — by people who care about doing it right.

From One Workshop to Three Plants

We started with one production line and a few customers. Today OptiMA operates multiple manufacturing lines, supports thousands of schools and hospitals nationwide, and ships through Quick Ship in 1–2 business days for stock products.

Why We Sell Direct

Distributors and resellers serve a purpose, but they also add cost, lengthen lead times, and put a layer between us and our customers. MyWhiteboards.com cuts out that layer for the customers who want to deal directly with the manufacturer.
