Available in two sizes, 9" x 12" and a larger 11" x 17". These durable, double sided music staff lap boards have become one of America's top selling teaching aids.

  • Do not use any type of scrubbing sponges or other abrasive to clean the boards
  • We strongly recommend using facial tissue or our Opti-Wipe™ washable micro-fiber cleaning cloths
  • For best results use a quality dry erase marker and wipe each board clean before storage

Which marker would you recommend to use with these? (Perhaps "they're all the same" but if not, I prefer higher quality to lowest price.)

Hi Mark, 


We highly recommend using traditional dry erase markers, mainly Expo Markers, for these boards. Wet Erase markers can cause damage to the print. We also highly clean with a soft cloth damp with water or rubbing alcohol to keep your boards in mint condition. If you are looking for a cloth erase, we have one linked here.

Solves a Problem.

I wanted a larger board than the usual small musical staff bosrds. After an internet search, luckily I found this one. Very pleased when It arrived at how durably and professionally made it is. It deoes what a whiteboard should do, erases cleanly and as a bonus, one side is the musical staffs, while th other side is blank whiteboard and usable as well.
For me the cost was reasonable as well.
Works well, two sided. Cant think of any

I am extremely satisfied with the staff white boards. They are a great size for kids to work with and they are an excellent, sturdy material that wipes off easily.

The boards seem to be made of masonite material perhaps 3/16 thick.
I did not want flexible boards and these fit the bill. I bought 2 of these and gave them to 2 daughters who are home schooling their children.

LOVE these boards! GREAT quality that will hold up throughout the school year and beyond. GREAT for composing new music as well as TEACHING how to read/write music! I expect that in a year or two my kids will be able to write beautiful songs....and it will have all started with these boards!! Great product!!

I love my music staff lapboards! My students use them at least once a week. They are learning how to write notation and note names. I also want to thank you for fixing my order. At first the incorrect lapboards were sent to me, I called customer service and I had the correct ones in 2 days! Plus you let me keep the plain ones. WOW! now that\'s a wonderful company. Thank you so much.

Great for student use

As a private piano teacher, I like to have my students use different kinds of methods to learn the basics of reading music. I really like these whiteboards as an additional tool. I have used them to demonstrate writing notes, and have also had students use them to write down notes and intervals as I dictate or play them. The size of the boards is easy for even young hands to hold, and there are enough staves to allow for quite a bit of writing before you need to erase. Using the boards is much easier than using staff paper when trying to visually write out a musical example or theory concept. The boards are sturdy and seem like they will last a long time. I highly recommend them.
