Do you need to magnetize your walls? Try painting them with Opti-MagPrime™! Opti-MagPrime™ is a magnetic receptive primer designed to transform walls into magnetic receptive surfaces. Prime wood, masonry, drywall, plaster, metal, and more. Opti-MagPrime™ can be top coated with any standard latex paint. Opti-MagPrime™ can be used with any of our custom printed magnets. This primer is unique in that it doesn't settle or separate, retaining its magnetic receptive properties in every brushstroke.
Preparation and Application: For best results, apply using a paint brush. Wear gloves during application. Stir before use. Apply at least two coats of primer. Let dry between coats. After applying primer, the painted area may be lightly sanded in preparation for latex paint. Make sure the area primed with Opti-MagPrime™ is completely dry before painting over it. Unused Opti-MagPrime™ should be resealed and used within 24 hours. Our magnetic receptive primer is available in gallons, quarts, or 8 oz. sample sizes. For more product information, please contact us.
Although our magnetic primer is made with non-toxic materials, it should not be consumed. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from eyes and mouth.
Ingredients: Ferri-magnetic powder, water, acrylate copolymer, other additives.
Superior Coverage
Special formulation ensures uniform magnetic-receptive coverage, unlike competing products. Just two easy-to-apply coats and you're good to go.
Pairs Great with Magnets!

Water-Based and Easy to Clean
A safe and effective aqueous based primer that is easy to apply and easy to wipe away in the event of spills.

A quart should be sufficient enough for 40 sq ft and some more. Typically one quart of paint will cover 100 sq ft. If you have any more questions, please call us at (866)-366-1500, and our customer service team would love to help you.Â

clear or white dry erase paint?
Hello,
You certainly can, but please note that the more coats you add over the magnetic receptive paint, the lower the magnetic receptivity you're going to get. So I would advise you to maybe do a test swatch beforehand!

Jeri Burbank from MI asked:
Hello! Apply at least two coats, but definitely not as many as 6. Past a certain point it won't make a difference. Between coats you can test the magnetic receptivity with a magnet before you add another. I hope this helps!
Have a great day!

Alisa Link from Texas asked:
No, the primer is a dark gray, almost black, so I'm not sure it would work for your intended application.Â
Have a great day!

Jarrod Becker from Kentucky asked:
I personally would not recommend it. We only recommend regular wall paint over this product, anything thicker will cause magnetic receptivity to be lost.
Have a great day!
