Details

Peel-n-stick dry erase skins with a bright white, porcelain on steel, magnetic receptive dry erase writing surface for resurfacing old, worn out dry erase boards or chalk boards. The dry erase panels or skins are a full 24 gauge steel with a high temperature, furnace fused porcelain dry erase writing surface. There is a self adhesive backing and a clear protective coating on each panel. Make sure you remove the protective coating after installation and then wash the panel down with water and wipe dry. There is a white powder coated cover bar available. They come with a peel and stick backing and they can be used on the seams of the white board panels. You can write on the white self-adhesive strips. The cover strips are sold by the linear foot in lengths up to 8' long. Once the panel is firmly rolled into place, it cannot be removed.

Can I cut or trim these to size?

Hello Ole,Â We can have these cut for you at the factory which is typically our recommendation. Some of our customers have cut these themselves. Depending on the cutting method, the edges of the porcelain can chip.Â Â

Hi the initial heading says this is also available in black chalkboard is this correct?

Hello Jeff,Â Sorry to say that the manufacturer just discontinued the chalkboard panels for 2020. Looks like we have an update to make to our website.Â

Once the panel sets up, meaning that the adhesive has had some time to fully adhere, you shouldn't have any issues. To be sure however, I would suggest possibly adding some water resistantÂ caulking around the perimeter of the panel.

how thick is the finished product?

Can this be installed over a bulletin board?

I am in need of something like this to apply over paneling with a few cutouts/ cut arounds- what is the best method to field cut this material? Plasma cutter?Â

Hi Jason, we usually recommend a diamond tip or carbide blade, and of course, we recommend it is cut by a professional. I haven't heard of anyone cutting it with a plasma cutter, but I am checking with our production manager. If you want to know this information, I will gladly follow up with you.
