Opti-Rite® 2M is one of our more versatile wall coverings. Featuring a low-gloss, projection ready, magnetic receptive dry erase writing surface that erases clean. One dry erase wall covering that gives you it all!
Using a unique ferrous powdered vinyl, the surface remains flexible, yet permits the use of magnetic lettering, magnetic shapes, posters and a wide variety of other magnetic accessories. Opti-Rite® 2 Mag™ Matte has the added benefit of moonlighting as a projection surface without sacrificing any dry erase properties. The matte surface erases no different than a high-gloss wall covering, without ghosting. The material is 47.25" tall or wide and is sold in rolls starting at 6' in length up to a full roll of 65' long. All of the Opti-Rite® 2M rolls are Quick Ship meaning that they leave our factory in 1-2 business days. For the best results use a professional installer. Opti-Rite® Acrylic Primer and Opti-Rite® Adhesive are both recommended and sold separately. Kelly from Oregon asked:
This would not be a recommended way of installing the product. We recommend installing with our adhesive which is a starch-based clay adhesive you can view the material safety data sheet on this page https://mywhiteboards.com/opti-rite-adhesive.html.
If no adhesives or glues are allowed perhaps a standard wall-mounted board like our GreatWhite dry erase boards would be a better solution.Â

Yes, we have had customers install this or similar products over an existing whiteboard.Â

Dry erase products with matte finishes have a slight sheen to ensure a higher level or erasability, so there's always a little reflection on the surface. I have photographed projecting onto this particular product and it works well. Mostly, you want to make sure that you photograph it at a slight angle, so the projector isn't reflecting perfectly off of the surface and back to the camera lens, you will catch a little glare no matter how matte the surface is, but even then the images should be legible. If you have more questions, absolutely let us know or give us a call. Â

Also, I will be covering laminate paneling with this product. It is best to fill in the gaps in the paneling to create a ridge-free surface underneath? The low gloss option is awesome! I wish I had had this in my classroom.Â
Thank you for your question. We only offer the Adhesive and Primer in one size. For your application question, I would recommend calling us at (866)-366-1500, and our team would love to answer any of your questions regarding the best application process for your wall. Â
